Today, the building has been converted into offices. parking, ablution and mess facilities by the National Ports Authority for the tenants - SA Port Operation. The project manager of the development is Protekon, with Dave Stromberg as the project architect.

This building, known as the Queen’s Warehouse, the Bond Store or the Tarpaulin shed, was built and designed in 1903, by port engineers Charlie Croft, the building was used as a shed for goods which were transported by rail from the dockside into the building. Railway wagons were hoisted by hydraulic lift on to the first floor, where the cargo was unloaded and sorted. The original spiral stair will be retained and a third floor for offices is being added in keeping with the style and age of the building.
